Delivery of Bad Wolf toys on it’s way


A new delivery of Dildos by Bad Wolf (English / German) is on it’s way .

We expect it to arrive in a few business days.

(Yes, postings in the category „Disturbing Dildo Deliveries“ are basically copy&pasted.
There is just nothing original to write about such a thing but many people are waiting
for toys of a specific manufacturer to come in, so it’s important we post these.)

Custom toys:
For just a few days after this delivery arrived and before we place our next order right away, it will be possible to order custom variation again. Just contact us via email, stating all the details like colour and firmnes. Then we’ll provide you with a custom product that can be ordered exactly 1 time via the regular ordering process. The only  difference is that it obviously takes longer to ship and we require it to be fully payed right away. Also for custom made products there is no 14 day return period.

Our credit card used the wrong exchange rate on us

Looks like our credit card used for our own US orders has charged us a wrong exchange rate for an oder payed on the first of November.
Their price-list says they would use the mastercard exchange rate and where to look it uo. However that gives a different rate for that date then the one they actually charged.

Pretty dump hacking attempt on our shop server

We noticed a fairly stupid (failed) hacking attemp in our server by placing an order with code-injection.

Analysis

It’s a simple and fairly bad attempt to get the shop to download and execure some PHP-malware.
The malware is very generic and probably just off-the-shelf.
The attempt was very rudimentary and made in a way that would instantly come to attention.
So this was in no way targeted and is probably attempted with thousands of shops in an automated way.

Response

We informed the abuse department of the domain registrar used to download the malware from.
We also added the existing captcha also to the account-creation process.
Obviously we did check the log files, security scanner report and that indeed all patches against known issues (security relevant or not) hava already been applied.
We also enabled an „invisible“ Google ReCaptcha V3 in addition to the existing server-side captcha for account-creation and deleted a large number of similar accounts created by harmless bots in the past.

Size category descriptions

Looks like we never got around to translate the decriptions of the size categories.
(So you all know what „tiny“, „mini“, „small“, „regular“, „large“ and „extra large“ mean for us.
We also updated them fron plain HTML text to the new design editor and made them bold, so they stand out more.

Black Friday

You can find reduced prices all over the YiffyToys shop!
All overseas manufacturers as well as GLC and FurryStyle.
Some prices have also been permanently lowered.
For some we can just delay to sadly raise them a little longer.

Exchange rates

We usually don’t do this but the stabilizing Exchange rates gave us a bit of room to breath here.
Granted, it’s not much.

Experimenting with Mastodon (updated)

We are experimenting with integrating the ActivityPub protocoll (e.g. Mastodon) into the YiffyToys blog.
The integration is even tighter then what we did with Twitter.

You should be able to follow @YiffyToys@rect.al in the Fediverse.
The list of people who are following us is private and not shown to anyone else.

We moved to a new instance and things are working now.
